Information Used by Bloom

Bloom allows users to enter the first day of their last menstrual period (LMP).

The application uses this date locally on the user’s device to calculate:

• Current pregnancy week and day
• Estimated due date
• Estimated examination date ranges
• Examination reminder dates

Bloom may also store the user’s reminder preferences.

Data Collection

Bloom does not transmit pregnancy information, menstrual information, reminder preferences or other personal health information to Deviking or to third parties.

All pregnancy-related information entered into Bloom is processed and stored locally on the user’s device.

Bloom does not require a user account.

Bloom does not use advertising services or analytics services.

Data Sharing

Bloom does not sell, share or transmit personal or health information to third parties.

Notifications

Bloom may request permission to send notifications.

Notification permission is used only to provide locally scheduled reminders for pregnancy examinations selected by the user.

Bloom may use Android system functionality to restore scheduled reminders after the device is restarted.

Data Retention

Pregnancy information and reminder preferences remain stored locally on the device until the user:

• Uses the “Reset Pregnancy Data” function in Bloom; or
• Uninstalls the application.

The Reset Pregnancy Data function removes the stored pregnancy date, calculated information and scheduled examination reminders.

Security

Because Bloom does not transmit pregnancy information to Deviking servers, pregnancy data remains locally on the user’s device.

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their device.

Medical Information

Bloom provides estimated dates for informational purposes only.

Bloom is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.

The information provided by Bloom must not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

Users should always consult a healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, treatment and the appropriate timing of pregnancy examinations.

Children

Bloom is intended for adults and is not designed or directed specifically toward children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Deviking may update this Privacy Policy when necessary. Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
