Configuring WooCommerce Products
Deviking Paddle Gateway is designed for:
- Virtual products
- Downloadable products
- Digital software
- WordPress plugins
- Other non-physical products
A product must be marked as either:
Virtual
or:
Downloadable
for Paddle to be available at checkout.
Physical products that are neither Virtual nor Downloadable are intentionally excluded from this integration.
10.1 Product Taxes
If Paddle is responsible for calculating VAT/sales tax, we recommend avoiding a second WooCommerce tax calculation for the same product.
For a standard Paddle-controlled setup:
Product data → General → Tax status → None
Then let Deviking Paddle Gateway and Paddle calculate the applicable tax.
This prevents the same tax from being added once by WooCommerce and again by Paddle.
10.2 Product Prices
No Paddle Product ID or Paddle Price ID needs to be entered into each WooCommerce product.
Deviking Paddle Gateway creates the required transaction items dynamically from the WooCommerce order.
Your WooCommerce catalog therefore remains the primary place where you manage:
- Product names
- Prices
- Sale prices
- Quantities
