Media Library vs Server Deletion

Delete from Media Library

This removes the WordPress attachment record. References and metadata associated with that attachment may no longer resolve normally.

Delete from server

This removes the physical media file from storage. If an attachment record remains, WordPress may still show the media entry but the file will be missing.

Use carefully

Only select the deletion combination that matches your intended cleanup. For complete permanent removal, both the database attachment and physical file may need to be removed.
