How the import workflow works
Imports use a guided workflow that takes you from the source file to the final background import.
Step 1 — Choose the source
Select the import type and provide the source file or remote source. You can also configure source-specific options such as the delimiter for delimited files.
Step 2 — Review the import file
Review the detected source data before mapping it. Optional Include and Exclude filters can be used to control which records are processed.
Step 3 — Map the fields
Map fields from the source to the corresponding WordPress or WooCommerce fields. The mapping screen includes a source preview and supports drag-and-drop mapping where available.
Step 4 — Configure import settings
Choose how existing records are matched, what should be created or updated and which imported fields are allowed to change existing data.
Step 5 — Review and run
Review the import summary and start the job. Imports run in the background, so you can leave the Run Import screen while processing continues.
During a run, the plugin tracks Created, Updated, Skipped and Errors. Detailed per-run logs are also available for troubleshooting.
