Classic Checkout and Checkout Block

WooCommerce supports Classic Checkout and Checkout Block. They use different technical systems, but Checkout Fields keeps one shared field configuration.

Classic Checkout

Classic Checkout uses traditional WooCommerce form fields and PHP checkout hooks. Checkout Fields modifies the WooCommerce field configuration before the form is rendered and saves submitted custom values with the order.

Checkout Block

Checkout Block uses WooCommerce Blocks and Store API. Checkout Fields uses a separate Block-compatible layer to render custom fields, synchronize values, and reapply visibility or layout behavior after checkout updates.

Theme compatibility

The plugin avoids theme-specific code where possible. It uses native WooCommerce markup or the rendered checkout structure so custom fields can inherit the active checkout styling.
