Carrier Codes
Every carrier has a unique Carrier Code, for example acs or dhl-express.
Why the code matters
- Tracking entries store the carrier code.
- CSV imports use
carrier_codeto match a row to a carrier. - Separate export-friendly order meta includes the carrier code.
Best practice
After a carrier code is in production use, keep it stable. Change the carrier name or tracking URL if needed, but avoid changing the code unless you also plan to update existing data.
