Direct Tracking URL Templates

The Direct Tracking URL is the most important carrier-specific setting.

Basic template

A typical template looks like:

https://carrier.example/track?number={tracking_number}

Result

If the tracking number is ABC123, the generated link becomes the carrier URL with ABC123 inserted in place of the placeholder.

Important

Use a carrier URL that accepts the tracking value in the URL whenever possible. A generic carrier homepage is less useful because the customer would need to enter the number again.

Carrier website changes

If a carrier changes its tracking route, edit the URL in the carrier record and test it again.
