Deviking Post Expiration

Installing Deviking Post Expiration

Install the plugin

  1. Sign in to your WordPress administration area.
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
  3. Click Upload Plugin.
  4. Select the Deviking Post Expiration ZIP package.
  5. Click Install Now.
  6. When WordPress completes the installation, click Activate Plugin.

Open the plugin settings

After activation, WordPress adds a dedicated Post Expiration item to the main admin menu. This is the central settings page for the plugin.

From this page you can choose:

  • Which public post types support expiration.
  • The default expiration action.
  • The default expiration time.
  • Whether plugin settings and expiration metadata should be deleted during uninstall.

Confirm the editor controls

Open a Post or Page that is enabled in the plugin settings. A Post Expiration panel should appear in the editor sidebar. The expiration fields remain hidden until you enable expiration for the current item.

If the panel does not appear

First open Post Expiration from the WordPress admin menu and confirm that the current post type is enabled. Then reload the editor. If you are working with a Custom Post Type, it must be public and compatible with the standard WordPress editing workflow.
