Setting the Default Expiration Time

Default time behavior

The Default expiration time is the time the plugin suggests when a content item does not already have a saved expiration timestamp. The initial plugin default is 23:59.

Change the default

1. Open Post Expiration.
2. Find Default expiration time.
3. Select the preferred time.
4. Click Save Changes.

Examples

• 23:59 — useful for content that should remain available through the end of a day.
• 09:00 — useful when content should change at the start of a working day.
• 17:00 — useful for business-hour deadlines.

The default time only provides a starting value. You can select a different time for every individual expiration schedule.
