Deviking Post Expiration

How to Change an Existing Expiration Schedule

Edit the scheduled content

Open the Post, Page, or Custom Post Type that already has expiration enabled. The editor panel displays the saved date, time, action, and current status.

Change the schedule

  1. Change the expiration date and/or time.
  2. Change the expiration action if necessary.
  3. Review redirect settings if Redirect visitors is selected.
  4. Save or update the content.

What happens internally

When the schedule changes, Deviking Post Expiration removes previously scheduled events for that content item. It then schedules a fresh single event using the new timestamp.

Important

If you save an expiration time that is already in the past, the plugin can process the expiration immediately instead of waiting for a future scheduled event. Always review the selected date and time before saving important content.
