Using a Custom URL as the Redirect Destination

When Redirect visitors is selected, enter the complete destination in the Custom URL field.

Example:

https://example.com/new-page/

Use a complete URL

Include the protocol, such as https://. The field is designed for valid URLs rather than relative paths.

Check the destination before scheduling

• Confirm that the page exists.
• Confirm that it is publicly accessible.
• Avoid redirect loops back to the expired URL.
• Use the correct 301 or 302 redirect type for the intended behavior.

After expiration

Once the item is marked expired, frontend requests for that singular content URL are redirected to the stored Custom URL.
