Deviking Post Expiration

How to Schedule a Post to Expire

Open the post editor

Edit the WordPress Post you want to expire. Make sure Posts are enabled under Post Expiration → Enable for.

Create the expiration schedule

  1. Locate the Post Expiration panel.
  2. Turn on Enable expiration.
  3. Choose the Expiration date.
  4. Choose the Expiration time.
  5. Select the Action after expiration.
  6. If you select Redirect visitors, complete the additional redirect settings.
  7. Click Update or Publish.

After saving

The plugin converts the chosen date and time into a timestamp using the WordPress site timezone. It then schedules a single WordPress event for the content item.

Changing the schedule

If you edit the date or time and save the post again, the plugin removes the previous scheduled event and creates a new one for the updated timestamp. This prevents multiple expiration events from remaining scheduled for the same item.
