Enabling Expiration for Posts Pages and Custom Post Types
Open the Enable for setting
Go to Post Expiration in the WordPress admin menu. The Enable for area lists the public post types available on your website, except WordPress attachments.
Enable a content type
- Select the checkbox next to each post type that should support expiration.
- Click Save Changes.
- Open an item belonging to that post type.
- Confirm that the Post Expiration editor panel is available.
What enabling a post type does
Enabling a post type makes expiration controls available in its editor and list table. It does not automatically schedule all items in that post type to expire.
What happens when a post type is disabled?
When a post type is removed from the enabled list, the plugin stops exposing expiration controls for that type. Before disabling expiration for a post type that already has scheduled items, review those schedules and remove or update them as needed.
Attachments
WordPress Media attachments are intentionally excluded from the post type list. Deviking Post Expiration focuses on public editorial content such as Posts, Pages, and compatible Custom Post Types.
