Deviking Post Expiration

Understanding the Post Expiration Editor Panel

Enable expiration

The Enable expiration switch activates expiration for the current content item. When it is disabled, the plugin does not maintain an active expiration schedule for that item.

Expiration date and time

After enabling expiration, choose an Expiration date and Expiration time. The plugin interprets these values using the timezone configured in WordPress.

Action after expiration

The Action after expiration field determines what the plugin should do when the scheduled date and time are reached. The available actions are:

  • Move to Draft
  • Set as Private
  • Move to Trash
  • Redirect visitors

Redirect settings

When you choose Redirect visitors, an additional Redirect settings area appears. You can select a 301 or 302 redirect and choose either a Custom URL or existing published content as the destination.

Status badge

When expiration is enabled, the panel displays a status badge. Scheduled means the item has an active expiration configuration. Expired means the configured expiration has already been processed.
