Preserving Existing Redirect Settings in Quick Edit
Why redirect fields are not shown in Quick Edit
A redirect includes multiple values: redirect type, custom URL, and/or an existing content target. Adding the full redirect interface to WordPress Quick Edit would make the compact editing workflow unnecessarily complex.
Keep current action
Quick Edit includes a Keep current action option. When used, the plugin keeps the saved expiration action for the item.
Existing redirect data is preserved
When Quick Edit updates an item, the plugin reads the existing redirect type, Custom URL, and Existing content target from the post metadata and saves them again with the updated schedule.
This means you can change the date or time of an existing redirect schedule without losing the redirect destination.
Changing the redirect destination
To change the destination itself, open the full editor and use the complete Redirect settings area.
