Running Your First Test Print
Before relying on automatic printing, it is a good idea to run a test print and confirm that the selected device and printer are working correctly.
1. Open Devices
In your WordPress dashboard, go to:
Deviking Order Autoprint → Devices
Find the Windows computer running the Deviking Print Agent.
Make sure the device status is:
Online
2. Check the Printer
Under the selected device, verify that the printer you want to test is listed and available.
If the printer is missing:
- Check that it is installed in Windows.
- Make sure it is powered on.
- Confirm that the Agent is running.
- Wait a few seconds for the Agent to report its current printer list.
3. Start a Test Print
Choose the printer you want to test and click:
Test Print
The plugin creates a test print job and sends it to the selected Agent.
4. Check the Windows Agent
Open the Deviking Print Agent and look at the Activity section.
You should see the test job being received and processed.
If the print succeeds, the document should be sent to the selected Windows printer.
5. Confirm the Result
Check that:
- The correct printer received the job.
- The printer produced the page normally.
- The paper format is correct.
- There are no Windows printer errors.
A successful test confirms that the connection between:
WooCommerce → Print Agent → Windows Printer
is working correctly.
6. If the Test Print Fails
Check the following:
- The Agent is online.
- The correct device is selected.
- The printer is available in Windows.
- The printer is not paused or offline.
- The printer driver is working correctly.
- The Windows computer has internet access.
- The WooCommerce site is accessible through HTTPS.
You can also review the Agent’s Activity log for the error message.
7. Next Step
Once the test print works correctly, you are ready to use automatic or manual order printing.
