Deviking Order Autoprint

Adding Your First Printer

Once the Deviking Print Agent is connected to your WooCommerce store, the next step is to confirm that the printer you want to use is available.

The Agent automatically detects printers installed in Windows and makes them available to Deviking Order Autoprint.

1. Check the Printer in Windows

Before configuring the printer in WordPress, make sure it is installed and working correctly in Windows.

You should be able to print a normal Windows test page from:

Windows Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners

If Windows cannot use the printer, Deviking Print Agent cannot use it either.

2. Open the Deviking Print Agent

Open:

Deviking Print Agent

Under:

Detected printers

you should see the printers currently available on that computer.

The default Windows printer is marked separately.

3. Supported Printer Types

Deviking Order Autoprint can work with printers installed in Windows, including:

  • USB printers
  • Network printers
  • Wi-Fi printers
  • Office laser or inkjet printers
  • A4 printers
  • A5 printers
  • 80mm thermal printers
  • 58mm thermal printers

The printer only needs to be correctly installed and available to Windows.

4. Verify the Printer in WordPress

In WordPress, go to:

Deviking Order Autoprint → Devices

Find the connected computer.

The printers reported by that Agent should appear under the device.

This confirms that WooCommerce can see the printer through the Agent.

5. Printer Status

The Devices page can show whether a printer is currently available.

If a printer appears unavailable:

  • Check that the printer is powered on.
  • Check the USB, network or Wi-Fi connection.
  • Confirm that Windows still recognizes the printer.
  • Restart the printer if necessary.
  • Allow the Agent a short time to send its next heartbeat.

6. Use the Printer in a Print Rule

Printers are assigned through Print Rules.

When you create a rule, you select:

  • Device
  • Printer
  • Paper type
  • Number of copies
  • Optional fallback printer

This determines where matching WooCommerce orders will be printed.

7. Multiple Printers

One Agent can report multiple printers from the same Windows computer.

For example:

  • Office A4 Printer
  • Warehouse A4 Printer
  • 80mm Thermal Printer
  • Kitchen Thermal Printer

Different Print Rules can send orders to different printers.

8. No Separate Printer Installation Inside WordPress

You do not manually install printer drivers in WordPress.

Printer drivers are installed only in Windows.

The workflow is:

Windows Printer → Deviking Print Agent → WooCommerce

Once the printer appears in the Agent and on the Devices page, it is ready to be used in Print Rules.
