Revoking Device Access
Revoking a Device disables its authentication credentials and prevents that Agent from connecting to the WooCommerce site.
Use this when you want to block access immediately without relying only on removing the Device from the active list.
1. Open Devices
In your WordPress dashboard, go to:
Deviking Order Autoprint → Devices
Find the Device whose access you want to revoke.
2. Choose Revoke Access
Open the available Device actions and select:
Revoke Access
3. Confirm the Action
Confirm that you want to revoke the Device.
The Device token is invalidated and the Agent can no longer authenticate with that WooCommerce website.
4. What Happens After Revocation
After access is revoked:
- The Agent can no longer retrieve new Print Jobs from that site
- The Device is shown as revoked in WordPress
- Existing authentication credentials no longer work
- The Device must be paired again before it can be used with that site
Other connected WooCommerce sites inside the same Agent are not affected.
5. Print Rules Using the Revoked Device
A revoked Device should no longer be used as a printing destination.
Review any Print Rules that reference that Device and assign another available Device or printer if required.
6. Pairing the Device Again
If you later want to restore access:
- Generate a new pairing code in WordPress
- Open the Deviking Print Agent
- Add the WooCommerce site again
- Enter the new pairing code
- Complete the pairing process
The Agent receives new secure credentials.
7. When to Use Revoke Access
Revoking is useful when:
- A computer is lost or stolen
- An employee should no longer have access
- You suspect the Device credentials may be compromised
- A computer is being replaced
- You want to force a complete re-pairing
Remove vs Revoke
Remove Device removes the Device from active use in the plugin.
Revoke Access invalidates its authentication credentials.
For security-sensitive cases, use Revoke Access.
