Deviking Order Autoprint

Troubleshooting Layout and Formatting Issues

If a printed document does not look as expected, check the following areas.

Content Is Cut Off

Check:

  • Paper format
  • Printer margins
  • Windows printer settings
  • Orientation
  • Thermal paper width

Make sure the selected Print Rule format matches the actual printer.

Text Wraps Incorrectly

This is especially common on narrow thermal printers.

Try:

  • Reducing font size slightly
  • Reducing side margins
  • Hiding unnecessary fields
  • Using shorter custom text
  • Confirming the correct 80mm or 58mm format

Logo Is Too Large

Reduce the configured logo size.

For thermal documents, keep logos relatively small so they do not reduce the usable width.

Logo Is Misaligned

Check the Logo Alignment setting and run another preview or test print.

Too Much Empty Space

Review:

  • Margins
  • Layout blocks
  • Spacing
  • Empty enabled sections

Disable sections that are not needed.

Missing Information

Check whether the relevant field or layout block is enabled.

For example, if totals do not appear:

  1. Make sure the Totals block is enabled.
  2. Check the visible fields for that block.

Wrong Order Information Appears in Preview

The preview uses WooCommerce order data.

Confirm that the selected or latest order actually contains the information you expect to display.

A4 Output Is Scaled Incorrectly

Check Windows printer preferences for options such as:

  • Fit to Page
  • Scaling
  • Zoom
  • Custom paper size

The printer driver should normally use the same paper size configured in the Print Rule.

Thermal Output Is Too Narrow

Confirm that:

  • 80mm is selected for an 80mm printer
  • 58mm is selected for a 58mm printer
  • Side margins are not unnecessarily large

RAW ESC/POS Output Looks Incorrect

Disable:

RAW ESC/POS

and test again using standard Windows printing.

RAW mode should only be used with compatible ESC/POS thermal printers.

Layout Looks Correct in Preview but Different on Paper

A preview shows the generated layout, but the physical printer and Windows driver can apply additional:

  • Scaling
  • Margins
  • Printable-area limitations
  • Orientation settings

Check the Windows printer configuration and run another physical test.
