Device Online and Offline Status
The Devices screen shows whether each connected Deviking Print Agent is currently communicating with your WooCommerce store.
This helps you quickly identify computers that are ready to receive print jobs and devices that may require attention.
1. Where to Check Device Status
In your WordPress dashboard, go to:
Deviking Order Autoprint → Devices
Each paired Device displays its current connection status.
2. Online Status
A Device appears as:
Online
when the Deviking Print Agent has contacted your WooCommerce site recently.
An Online Device is normally ready to:
- Receive new print jobs
- Report installed printers
- Report printer status
- Update its Agent information
- Process automatic and manual print requests
3. Offline Status
A Device appears as:
Offline
when the Agent has not contacted the WooCommerce site within the expected time.
This can happen if:
- The Windows computer is turned off
- The Agent is not running
- The internet connection is unavailable
- The WooCommerce site cannot be reached
- Windows is sleeping or suspended
- A firewall or network issue prevents outbound HTTPS communication
4. Offline Does Not Remove the Device
An Offline Device remains registered in Deviking Order Autoprint.
Its:
- Device UUID
- Authentication credentials
- Printer assignments
- Historical Print Jobs
are not removed just because the Device is offline.
When the Agent reconnects successfully, the status returns to Online automatically.
5. What Happens to Print Jobs
If a print job is assigned to an Offline Device, it cannot be printed until the Agent becomes available again.
Depending on your Print Rule configuration, a fallback printer may be used if the primary destination remains unavailable for the configured period.
6. Checking the Agent
If a Device appears Offline, check the Windows computer and confirm that:
- Deviking Print Agent is running
- The computer is connected to the internet
- The WooCommerce website opens normally
- The Agent still contains the correct site under Sites / Connections
You can also review the Agent’s Activity section for connection errors.
7. Start with Windows
For computers used for automatic printing, enable:
Start with Windows
inside the Agent.
This helps ensure the Agent starts automatically after a Windows restart.
8. Last Connection Information
The Devices screen also shows when the Agent last communicated with WooCommerce.
This can help you determine whether the Device has only just gone offline or has been unavailable for a longer period.
9. Other Device Status Indicators
Depending on the Device state, you may also see indicators such as:
Revoked
The authentication credentials have been disabled.
Update available
A newer version of the Deviking Print Agent is available.
These indicators are separate from the normal Online / Offline connection status.
