Creating a New Print Rule
A Print Rule defines the conditions and printing settings Deviking Order Autoprint uses to create automatic print jobs.
1. Open Print Rules
In your WordPress dashboard, go to:
Deviking Order Autoprint → Print Rules
Click:
Add New Rule
2. Enter a Rule Name
Choose a clear name that describes the purpose of the rule.
Examples:
- Processing Orders
- Warehouse Packing List
- Kitchen Tickets
- Cash on Delivery Orders
- Greece Orders
- High Value Orders
The name is used for administration and helps you identify the rule later.
3. Enable the Rule
Make sure the rule is enabled if you want it to create automatic print jobs.
You can save a rule as disabled if you want to configure it now and activate it later.
4. Choose the Order Status Trigger
Select the WooCommerce order status that should trigger the rule.
For example:
Processing
When an order reaches the selected status, Deviking Order Autoprint checks whether it also matches the rule conditions.
5. Add Optional Conditions
You can narrow the rule using conditions such as:
- Payment method
- Shipping method
- Product category
- Shipping country
- Shipping state / region
- Minimum order total
- Maximum order total
If no additional conditions are used, the rule can apply to every order that reaches the selected trigger status.
6. Select the Device
Choose the Windows Device that should receive the print job.
For example:
Warehouse PC
The Device must already be paired with the WooCommerce site.
7. Select the Printer
After selecting the Device, choose one of the printers reported by that Agent.
For example:
Warehouse A4 Printer
The print job will be sent to this printer when the rule is triggered.
8. Select the Template
Choose the type of document you want the rule to print.
Available templates include:
- Standard Order
- Customer Receipt
- Packing List
- Delivery Note
- Kitchen Ticket
9. Choose the Paper Format
Select the format required by the printer:
- A4
- A5
- 80mm Thermal
- 58mm Thermal
Make sure the selected format matches the physical printer and paper.
10. Configure Copies
Set the number of copies to print for each job.
For example:
Copies: 1
or:
Copies: 2
11. Configure Printer Settings
Depending on the selected format, you can configure settings such as:
- Orientation
- Margins
- Paper width
- Auto-Cut
- RAW ESC/POS
- Fallback printer
12. Configure the Document Layout
Customize the printed document by enabling, disabling or reordering sections such as:
- Header
- Customer
- Products
- Totals
- Notes
- Custom Text
- Footer
13. Configure Branding
Each rule can have its own branding.
You can configure:
- Logo
- Business name
- Address
- Phone
- Footer text
- Logo size
- Logo alignment
14. Save the Rule
Click:
Save Rule
The rule is now available in the Print Rules list.
If it is enabled, future orders matching the configured trigger and conditions can create print jobs automatically.
15. Test the Rule
Before relying on the rule in production, it is recommended to test it with a real or test WooCommerce order.
Verify that:
- The rule triggers at the expected status
- The correct order matches
- The correct Device receives the job
- The correct printer is used
- The document layout is correct
