Setting the Number of Copies
Each Print Rule can define how many copies of a document should be printed when the rule is triggered.
This is useful when the same order document needs to be printed more than once for different internal workflows.
1. Open the Print Rule
In your WordPress dashboard, go to:
Deviking Order Autoprint → Print Rules
Edit the rule you want to configure.
2. Locate the Copies Setting
Find the:
Copies
setting inside the printer configuration.
Enter the number of copies that should be printed for each matching job.
For example:
Copies: 1
prints one document.
Copies: 2
prints two identical copies.
3. Common Uses
Multiple copies can be useful when:
- One copy stays in the warehouse
- One copy goes with the shipment
- One copy is used by another department
- A kitchen needs duplicate tickets
- A packing station requires an internal copy
4. Copies Are Configured per Rule
Each Print Rule can use a different number of copies.
For example:
Packing List
- Copies: 2
Kitchen Ticket
- Copies: 1
Delivery Note
- Copies: 1
This allows each workflow to be configured independently.
5. Manual Printing
When printing manually from a WooCommerce order, you can also choose the number of copies for that specific print action.
This does not require changing the saved Print Rule.
6. Printer Driver Settings
Some Windows printer drivers also include their own copy setting.
For predictable results, avoid configuring additional copies in both Deviking Order Autoprint and the Windows driver at the same time.
For example, if the Print Rule is set to:
Copies: 2
and the Windows driver is also set to print two copies, the printer may produce more copies than expected.
7. Test the Setting
After changing the number of copies, run a test print and confirm that the printer produces the expected number of documents.
