Deleting a Print Rule
You can permanently delete a Print Rule when it is no longer needed.
Deleting a rule removes its configuration from Deviking Order Autoprint.
1. Open Print Rules
In your WordPress dashboard, go to:
Deviking Order Autoprint → Print Rules
Find the rule you want to remove.
2. Click Delete
Use the available action:
Delete
You may be asked to confirm the deletion.
3. What Is Deleted
Deleting a rule removes its saved configuration, including:
- Trigger status
- Conditions
- Device and printer assignment
- Template
- Paper format
- Copies
- Printer settings
- Layout configuration
- Branding
- Custom text
- Fallback settings
4. Existing Print Jobs Are Not Deleted
Deleting a rule does not remove historical Print Jobs that were already created by that rule.
Existing Print Jobs remain available in:
Deviking Order Autoprint → Print Jobs
This preserves your printing history.
5. Future Orders Will No Longer Use the Rule
Once deleted, the rule can no longer create new automatic print jobs.
If you later need the same workflow again, you will need to create a new rule.
6. Disable Instead of Delete
If you may need the rule again later, consider disabling it instead of deleting it.
A disabled rule keeps all its settings and can be re-enabled at any time.
Use Delete only when you are sure the rule is no longer required.
7. Review Other Rules
After deleting a rule, review your remaining Print Rules to make sure the required printing workflow is still covered.
This is especially important if the deleted rule handled:
- A specific department
- A specific shipping method
- A product category
- A country or region
- A fallback workflow
