Renaming a Device

You can rename a connected Device at any time to make it easier to identify inside Deviking Order Autoprint.

Renaming is useful when a computer changes purpose, location, or department.

1. Open Devices

In your WordPress dashboard, go to:

Deviking Order Autoprint → Devices

Find the Device you want to rename.

2. Choose Rename

Open the available Device actions and select:

Rename Device

3. Enter the New Name

Enter a clear name that describes the computer or its location.

Examples:

• Warehouse PC
• Office PC
• Kitchen PC
• Dispatch Station
• Front Desk

4. Save the New Name

Confirm the change.

The new Device name will be used inside Deviking Order Autoprint when selecting Devices and printers.

5. Pairing Is Not Affected

Renaming a Device does not create a new connection.

The existing:

• Device UUID
• Authentication token
• Pairing
• Printers
• Print Jobs

remain unchanged.

Only the visible Device name is updated.

6. The Agent Does Not Need to Be Re-paired

You do not need to generate a new pairing code after renaming a Device.

The Agent continues using the same secure connection.
