Removing a Device
You can remove a Device when a Windows computer is no longer used with Deviking Order Autoprint.
Removing a Device removes it from active use inside the plugin.
1. Open Devices
In your WordPress dashboard, go to:
Deviking Order Autoprint → Devices
Find the Device you want to remove.
2. Choose Remove Device
Open the available Device actions and select:
Remove Device
3. Confirm the Removal
Confirm that you want to remove the Device.
Once removed, the Device will no longer be available for new printing assignments.
4. What Happens to Print Rules
If the removed Device is used as the primary Device in a Print Rule, that rule can no longer send new print jobs to it.
If the removed Device is configured only as a fallback destination, the fallback assignment is removed.
Review your Print Rules after removing a Device and assign another available Device where necessary.
5. What Happens to Pending Jobs
Pending print jobs assigned to the removed Device are no longer processed by that Device.
If necessary, you can use the Print Jobs screen to manage affected jobs.
6. Previous Print History Is Preserved
Removing a Device does not erase historical Print Job information.
Previously completed or failed jobs can still retain the Device information associated with them.
This keeps your printing history intact.
7. The Agent Can Be Paired Again
If you later want to use the same Windows computer again, you can generate a new pairing code and pair the Agent again.
A new valid connection will then be created.
Remove vs Revoke
Removing and revoking are not exactly the same action.
Remove Device is used when the Device should no longer appear as an active printing destination.
Revoke Access immediately disables the Device authentication credentials.
The next article explains revoking in more detail.
