Enabling and Disabling a Print Rule
Print Rules can be enabled or disabled at any time without deleting their configuration.
This is useful when you want to temporarily stop an automatic printing workflow and reactivate it later.
1. Open Print Rules
In your WordPress dashboard, go to:
Deviking Order Autoprint → Print Rules
Find the rule you want to manage.
2. Enable a Rule
Enable the rule if you want it to create automatic print jobs.
Once enabled, Deviking Order Autoprint will evaluate matching WooCommerce orders according to the rule trigger and conditions.
3. Disable a Rule
Disable the rule if you want to stop automatic printing from that rule.
The rule remains saved, including:
- Trigger
- Conditions
- Device
- Printer
- Template
- Paper format
- Copies
- Layout
- Branding
- Fallback settings
You can enable it again later without recreating it.
4. What Happens to Existing Jobs
Disabling a rule affects future automatic print jobs.
Print Jobs that were already created before the rule was disabled are not automatically deleted.
You can manage those jobs separately from:
Deviking Order Autoprint → Print Jobs
5. When to Disable a Rule
Disabling a rule is useful when:
- A printer is temporarily unavailable
- A department is not operating
- You are testing a new workflow
- You are changing printers
- You want to pause automatic printing
- A seasonal workflow is no longer needed temporarily
6. Disabled Rules Stay Available
A disabled rule still appears in the Print Rules list.
This makes it easy to review, edit or duplicate it later.
7. Re-enabling the Rule
When you enable the rule again, it resumes processing future orders that match its configuration.
You do not need to pair the Device again or recreate the rule.
