Choosing the Print Template
Each Print Rule can use a different print template depending on the purpose of the document.
The selected template defines the basic structure of the printed output before any additional layout or branding customization is applied.
1. Open the Print Rule
In your WordPress dashboard, go to:
Deviking Order Autoprint → Print Rules
Edit the rule you want to configure.
2. Select the Template
Choose the template that best matches the type of document you want to print.
Available templates include:
- Standard Order
- Customer Receipt
- Packing List
- Delivery Note
- Kitchen Ticket
3. Standard Order
The Standard Order template is designed for general order printing.
It can include information such as:
- Order number
- Customer details
- Products
- Quantities
- Prices
- Totals
- Order notes
Typical uses include:
- Office order copies
- Warehouse order sheets
- General internal order documents
4. Customer Receipt
The Customer Receipt template is designed for compact customer-facing order information.
It is suitable for:
- Thermal printers
- Retail counters
- Pickup orders
- Compact customer documents
The final content can still be customized through the rule layout settings.
5. Packing List
The Packing List template is intended for order preparation and fulfillment.
It is useful for:
- Warehouses
- Picking stations
- Packing departments
- Shipment preparation
The focus is typically on the products and quantities required for the order.
6. Delivery Note
The Delivery Note template is suitable for documents that accompany an order during delivery.
Typical uses include:
- Shipment documents
- Delivery paperwork
- Dispatch departments
- Internal delivery records
You can customize the visible customer, order and product information according to your workflow.
7. Kitchen Ticket
The Kitchen Ticket template is designed for compact preparation workflows.
It is especially suitable for:
- Restaurants
- Kitchens
- Food preparation stations
- 80mm thermal printers
- 58mm thermal printers
The layout can be kept simple so staff can quickly identify products, quantities and notes.
8. Templates Can Be Customized
Selecting a template does not lock you into a fixed design.
Each Print Rule can further control:
- Visible sections
- Field visibility
- Section order
- Logo
- Business information
- Custom text
- Footer
- Font size
- Text alignment
- Margins
- Paper format
This allows the same base template to be adapted for different workflows.
9. Different Rules Can Use Different Templates
The same WooCommerce store can use several templates simultaneously.
For example:
Rule 1
Processing Orders → Standard Order → Office Printer
Rule 2
Warehouse Orders → Packing List → Warehouse Printer
Rule 3
Food Orders → Kitchen Ticket → Kitchen Thermal Printer
Rule 4
Dispatch Orders → Delivery Note → Dispatch Printer
10. Match the Template to the Printer
When choosing a template, also consider the paper format.
For example:
- Standard Order → A4
- Packing List → A4 or A5
- Customer Receipt → 80mm or 58mm
- Kitchen Ticket → 80mm or 58mm
- Delivery Note → A4 or A5
The exact combination depends on your printer and workflow.
11. Test the Template
After selecting a template, preview or test print the rule and confirm that:
- The important information is visible
- The layout fits the selected paper size
- Product rows are easy to read
- Branding is positioned correctly
- No content is clipped
